GetInfoUs

Editorial Policy

GetInfoUs exists to make government immigration, visa, jobs, and cost-of-living information easier to understand. Because this is sensitive "your money or your life" (YMYL) information, we hold our content to a high standard of accuracy, transparency, and sourcing. This page explains exactly how we work.

Who creates our content

Our guides are produced by the GetInfoUs research team, writers and researchers who specialise in immigration pathways, labour markets, and relocation costs across the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, and Mexico. Every article is researched against primary government sources before publication and reviewed by a second team member.

How we research and source facts

  • We cite official government sources (for example USCIS, the U.S. Department of State, IRCC, and the Mexican INM) for rules, fees, and processing times.
  • Figures such as salaries and living costs are clearly labelled as estimates and dated.
  • We link to the original source on each page so you can verify every detail yourself.

How we keep content up to date

Immigration rules change frequently. Each guide shows a "Last reviewed" date, and we re-check high-traffic pages on a regular cycle. When a government policy changes, we update the affected pages and refresh the review date.

Corrections

If you spot something inaccurate or out of date, email us at hello@getinfous.com and we will review and correct it promptly.

Independence and advertising

GetInfoUs is independent and is not affiliated with any government agency. We may display advertising to fund our research, but ads never influence our guidance, and our content is never a substitute for professional legal or immigration advice.
