About GetInfoUs

GetInfoUs started with a frustration most people who have tried to move abroad will recognise. The official rules are out there, but they are scattered across dozens of government pages, written in dense legal language, and they change without much warning. We kept finding ourselves with twenty browser tabs open just to answer one simple question: "Can I actually do this, and what will it cost?"

So we built the resource we wished we had. GetInfoUs takes the official guidance for the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, and Mexico and turns it into clear, structured explanations, always linking back to the source so you never have to take our word for it.

What we actually do

We research visas, work permits, salaries, and the real monthly cost of living across five countries, and we build free tools, things like our CRS score calculator, cost-of-living comparison, and the text compare utility, so you can plan with real numbers instead of guesswork. Everything on the site is free to use, and you never need an account.

How we try to earn your trust

• We cite official government sources for every rule, fee, and figure we quote.
• We clearly label anything that is an estimate, and we show when a page was last reviewed.
• We never pretend our guides replace advice from a qualified immigration lawyer or advisor.
• When we get something wrong, we fix it, and we make corrections easy to request.

A note on who we are not

We are an independent information project. GetInfoUs is not a law firm, not a recruitment agency, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government department. We do not process applications or charge for visa services, and we will never ask you to pay us to "speed up" a government process.
